Hi! My name is Yemi, and I am a college student at the University System of Georgia. Raising a Scholar is an organization that started as an idea because of my educational background.

Growing up in Africa, I have gone through a poor educational system. I grew up in a society where my educational opportunities were limited due to my family’s lack of financial stability and the government’s lack of responsibility to provide quality educational resources.

When I moved to the US, I realized the colossal difference in the quality of education. With time, I have been able to research the issue of educational inequality, and this organization is my way of combating it.
